The Green Onions Band started out with the intention of being a “cover band” performing the music of Booker T. & the M.G.’s. As we progressed through a musical education we stopped covering their songs and started writing our own, loosely in their style. We owe a considerable debt to the inspiration we’ve experienced by immersing ourselves in the music of Booker T. & the M.G.’s.
